The Why
Over my 40+ year career in the fire service, I've developed a tremendous respect for the variety of different ways local fire departments enhance their communities. At various times in my career, I saw the struggles of smaller departments with desires to improve themselves but not having adequate resources. There is tremendous outside expertise available to fire departments who can afford these professional services but very little to those who still want to improve their organization but can't afford them. This is my way of supporting these departments who give to their communities profoundly and still make up a majority of departments in America..
